Attention Bettis Preparatory Leadership Academy Families,
Please be advised that all intersession activities, including extended care, have been canceled due to the ongoing power outage and the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
We encourage our families and the entire community to remain united during this time of recovery and support one another as we navigate through these challenges together.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Friday, September 27th, will be eLearning day for Bettis Preparatory Leadership Academy due to the threat posed by Hurricane Helene. Our most recent forecasts for show the possibility of sustained winds in excess of 45 miles per hour, damaging hail, and possible tornadoes which will not allow us to operate safely Friday.
As for tomorrow, Thursday, September 26th, all after school activities are canceled. This includes the after-school care program and the home football game against Victory Baptist Church.
As an approved eLearning school, we can move to eLearning days as opposed to making up these days in person later in the year. It is beneficial for students to have reliable internet during school hours. However, we recognize not all students and staff have access to reliable internet when working virtually from home. We will ensure that on tomorrow, Thursday, 9/26/2024 that students know how to download and access eLearning assignments, so they can work offline. We will send home paper packets for students who may not have technology and/or students lacking internet access.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this threat of severe weather. Please continue to monitor our school's website and social media platforms for additional information and important updates.
